On July 29, Consul General Li Nan was interviewed by the UK Television That’s TV to mark the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Chinese Consulate General in Belfast. He answered questions regarding the current situation and future development of China-NI friendly cooperation.
Li stated that the establishment of the Consulate General in Belfast marked a new chapter and a new stage in the relationship between China and Northern Ireland, as well as a more comprehensive and regionally inclusive China-UK relations. Over the past decade, with the strategic guidance and support from leaders of both China and the UK, the tireless efforts of pioneers in mutual cooperation and the dedication of countless friends across all sectors, China and NI have become sincere and trustworthy friends, pragmatic partners in cooperation, and close companions connected by shared understanding. Looking ahead, the Consulate General will continue to uphold its original mission, work hand in hand with NI, and further promote in-depth, practical, and friendly cooperation in various fields to better benefit the people on both sides.
