Founding Philosophy
“China Culture Network Television” is an exchange and service platform as well as a display and broadcasting window, which aims to “perceive Chinese civilization, tell China’s stories well, spread Chinese culture, and gather China’s strength”. It is guided by the orientation of spreading the spiritual civilization of China’s five thousand years of history, and takes the systems and shared perceptions—encompassing the culture, history, geography, local conditions and customs, traditional habits, lifestyles, literature and art, codes of conduct, values, and other aspects of China’s 56 ethnic groups, which integrate the information of all things in heaven and earth—as its origin. It is realized through the application of modern audio-visual technologies and in combination with the aggregation and transmission functions of “Internet +”. It is referred to as “CCNTV ” for short.
Platform Mission
New Impetus: Implement the spirit of the Party Central Committee and the State Council to build the “Belt and Road” into a road of civilization, promote Chinese culture to the world, and comprehensively enhance the country’s cultural soft power. In line with the development trend and needs of the cultural industry during the “13th Five-Year Plan” period, it aims to support the development of cultural and artistic undertakings of China’s 56 ethnic groups, protect the diversity of ethnic cultural genes, promote the colorful new lives of all ethnic groups, and facilitate the international exchange of ethnic cultures.
New Concept: Adhere to the concept of “content as the king and form innovation”, strive to provide the people with uplifting spiritual food that nourishes the soul, tell China’s stories well, spread China’s voice effectively, and better shape the country’s image.
New Platform: Launch the “China Culture Vision” online TV exchange and communication platform in various countries and regions worldwide. The first batch of “China Culture Vision” online TV stations covering 39 countries and regions will be grandly launched in 2018. It has transformed from the original single service platform targeting Party and government organs at all levels, as well as all sectors of society in provinces, cities, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government across the country, into a comprehensive platform that integrates display and experience, and an international media brand, so as to better provide Chinese cultural information services for people of all ethnic groups around the world.
New Model: The re-launched “China Culture Vision” will adopt an international operation and management model. It will set up 12 major channels, including “Cultural Headlines, Thematic Channels, People of the Times, Sinology Lectures, Stories of Culture and Business, Images of China, Online Exhibitions, Online Tourism, Art World, Colorful China, Juvenile China, and Cultural Premiums”, along with over 50 columns. It will promptly release and broadcast cultural activities and information from various regions, ethnic groups, and industries in China, and shoot, produce, and disseminate fine traditional Chinese culture to countries and regions at home and abroad.
New Goal: “Conveying truth through culture and cultivating people with culture”. It seeks to transcend civilizational estrangement through cultural exchanges and infect the world with Chinese culture. “China Culture Vision” will provide a broader communication space for the promotion and inheritance of fine traditional Chinese culture, the vigorous development of the cultural industry, and the prosperity of socialist culture.
