Dialogue Wang Jinzhen: Into the international trade experts home feelings
Song Peng: In 1979, at the beginning of China’s reform and opening up, what was the form of the country’s foreign trade and economy? What opportunities and challenges do you face?
Wang Jinzhen: This year marks the 45th anniversary of China’s reform and opening up. I joined the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in the year of the official reform and opening up. As an eyewitness of the country’s reform and opening up, I feel that the Council for the Promotion of International Trade, as an association administered by the central government and a national trade and investment promotion agency under the leadership of The State Council, in different periods before and after the reform and opening up, It played a vital role in the country’s trade and investment as well as various forms of economic and technological exchanges. As a very rare window for foreign exchanges at that time, it belonged to a new field of development in many aspects and needed to be explored and verified constantly.
Song Peng: Another brand of CCPIT is the China Chamber of International Commerce. What is China’s position and leading position in international trade?
Wang Jinzhen: The international situation is complicated, and international trade itself is also changing. With the changes in the economic situation, the West’s cognition of trade rules has also changed. From a certain perspective, the rules of international trade are biased towards the Western world, so China’s “first-class goods” should increase brand investment and strengthen brand building, so that Chinese goods can truly go abroad and go to the world.
Song Peng: “Enterprise marketing without borders, entrepreneurs have the motherland”, how do you understand this sentence?
Wang Jinzhen: Entrepreneurs should run first-class enterprises well, lead enterprises to work hard and strive to stay, and achieve better quality, higher efficiency, stronger competitiveness, and greater impact on the development, but at the same time, they must have patriotic feelings, must have a noble sense of mission and a strong sense of responsibility for the country and the nation, and closely combine the development of enterprises with the prosperity of the country, the prosperity of the nation, and the happiness of the people.
Song Peng: From the reform and opening up to the accession to the WTO, China has achieved a great leap from standing up, getting rich to becoming strong. As a witness, witness and beneficiary, what are your feelings?
Wang Jinzhen: From a poor country to a middle-income country and now an important player in the global economy, China’s rapid development is obvious to all around the world. Whether it is the Belt and Road Initiative, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank or its active participation in global climate change negotiations, China has always delivered China’s voice, contributed China’s wisdom and provided China’s solutions for the development of human society.
Song Peng: The era of web3.0 digital economy is also the era of the fourth industrial revolution. In your opinion, how should the digital economy and the real economy coexist and win?
Wang Jinzhen: The arrival of the fourth Industrial Revolution represented by artificial intelligence has brought a deeper and more extensive impact, and the development of the digital economy as The Times require will bring revolutionary changes to human society, economy and cultural development. The digital economy and the real economy are mutually reinforcing. We need to improve the governance system of the digital economy and promote the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy.
