Entries invited for Beijing teen literary event

The 11th Lu Xun Teenagers Literature competition (Beijing) kicked off in Beijing on March 21. And those who want to take part in the event can upload their works from now until May 5.

The event is named after Lu Xun and is run his son Zhou Haiying who began it in 2009 to carry forward the spirit of his father.

The competition comprises three sections: writing, calligraphy and making speeches. And young people from primary, junior high and senior high schools can sign up.

Speaking about the event, Liu Haitao, the secretary-general of the competition, says: “We want to discover talented young people, give them a stage to show themselves and enable them to influence others.”
